TBI Research Manager

Ms. Harcum began her career as an occupational therapist specializing in acute rehabilitation for traumatic brain injury. She then worked for the Baltimore VA Medical Center as a rehabilitation research specialist. She contributed to several research efforts including neuroplasticity and telerehabilitation clinical trials directed at motor recovery after acquired brain injury. She worked as General Dynamics Information Technology as a contractor supporting the Clinical Practice and Clinical Recommendations team at the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence of the Defense Health Agency, and currently works as the TBI Research Manager for The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine in support of the Center for Rehabilitation Sciences Research at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Towson University, a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, and is currently a DrPH student at Hopkins in health policy and management.
