Zachary Crump has served as a staff inpatient Physical Therapist at Sheltering Arms for the past 10 years and currently serves as the Locomotor Specialist at the Sheltering Arms Institute. He became board certified in neurological physical therapy in 2015 and has served at Sheltering Arms as a Knowledge Broker since 2017. He has conducted clinical research in the areas of extra FES cycling for acute stroke survivors and seen this research translated into practice at a large inpatient rehabilitation hospital. He also served on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion consortium with ACAPT and is the creator of Race to Rehab, an initiative dedicated to increasing racial diversity amongst allied health care professions. He serves as adjunct professor at Hampton University, where he instructs 3rd year DPT students in care for persons with Spinal Cord Injury. He is married to his wonderful wife and has three amazing children.
