Clinical speech pathologist with nearly 40 years of experience working with people recovering from TBI, CVA and other neurologic
events. Have conducted individual speech therapy, and group therapy as part of our day treatment program for those looking to return to work, school, community activities. Work as part of a trans-disciplinary team of rehab professionals with strong emphasis on utilizing evidence-based treatment in a community-based program. Research experience includes: ProSolv:Problem Solving Following Brain Injury (University of Oregon), a web-based problem solving app with individuals following TBI; Group Interactive Structured Treatment-GIST for Social Competence (through Craig Rehabilitation; Department of Defense Grant study). Have also helped create and served on the Board of Directors a Peer Mentoring Group for survivors and their caregivers. Mentor graduate students in the field of Speech Pathology, Clinical Fellowship Year clinicians and staff.
