Kristin received her BS in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1991, has been in clinical and leadership roles for over 30 years and most recently was accepted to sit for the board specialty certification in oncologic physical therapy exam in March 2021. For the last 15 years, she focused her practice with Klose lymphedema coursework, oncology and breast cancer rehabilitation specialty courses through Julia Osborne, the American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine (ACRM), and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA); Academy of Oncologic Physical Therapy and earned completion certificates in Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy Agents and Radiation Therapy from the Oncology Nursing Society.
In 2016, Kristin co-founded Survivorship Solutions and is the Executive Director of Clinical Operations. She co-leads this education and consultancy firm partnershing with clinicians and healthcare organizations to standardizing high-quality cancer rehabilitation and survivorship services. The ability to negotiate the multifaceted industry of cancer through program development, planning and growth, data collection, benchmarking and analysis, accreditation standard adherence and best practices while showcasing revenue opportunities and reducing overall healthcare costs, has made her a leader in value-based cancer rehabilitation consultancy.
Kristin has been an educator at both system and collegiate levels. She teaches multiple seminars within Survivorship Solutions cancer rehabilitation clinical education course, contributing regularly on podcasts, as a book contributor, and as invited speaker at the International Breast Cancer and Wellness Summit, ACRM, Academy of Oncology Nurse Navigators, and The Oncology Summit conferences. She actively supports the oncology community as a member of the ACRM Integrative Cancer Rehabilitation Task Force, local and national chapters of the APTA; APTA Academy of Oncologic Physical Therapy, Hospice and Palliative Care Special Interest Group, serves on the board of the APTA Connecticut Oncology Special Interest Group as Program Coordinator, and recently appointed as Executive Committee Member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
