Marsha Neville is a Professor, and Interim Associate Director, Dallas in the School of Occupational Therapy at Texas Woman’s University. Dr. Neville has over 35 years of clinical experience in adult rehabilitation with a focus on persons with acquired brain injuries. Dr. Neville has a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University, M.S. in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience, and Ph.D. in Cognition and Neuroscience from University of Texas at Dallas. Her knowledge of cognitive functioning in everyday occupations has led to a research focus on translational research related to cognitive and physical rehabilitation across the continuum of care for stroke survivors. Her research aims to explore a self-management/empowerment program utilizing goal setting, problem-solving, and shared decision around risk factor management for persons who have had a stroke and are in inpatient rehabilitation and transitioning to the community. The self-management program is embedded within stroke rehabilitation.
