Dr. Kim LeBard-Rankila is the Assistant Department Chair of the Health & Human performance department at the University of Wisconsin Superior.
Kim is the director of the Public Health program and Exercise Physiology Lab, teaching responsiblilities include kinesiology, community & environmental health, epidemiology, certification in health coach, exercise physiology labs, supervises practicum experiences, advises undergraduate students, and is the Fieldwork director over seeing Internship experiences. Kim also maintains UW-Superior status as an international exam site for four health related certifications through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), thus allowing students opportunities to expand their resume and career opportunities after graduation.
Dr. LeBard-Rankila also works at Essentia health as a licensed PTA for 25 years specializing in sports medicine, orthopedic, general physical therapy and manual therapy. Dr. LeBard-Rankila research interest is on functional wellness across the lifespan: functional movement, emotional wellness, obesity , function and nutrition, self-efficacy, and employee wellness programs.
