Dr. Quan joined Western University from the State University of New York College of Optometry where she was involved in multispecialty clinical education, research, and residency education. Additionally, she brings experience from hospital-based, rehabilitation, psychiatric, VA medical center, private practice, and outpatient surgical settings. As the Chief of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Service, her focus lies in evaluation, treatment, and inter-professional management of patients with acquired brain injury. She provides state-of-the-art diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative assessments to enhance her patient’s visual capabilities, daily activities, and quality of live. She is actively involved in clinical research and continuing professional education in the area of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation. Additionally, she teaches a course in the clinical application of vision rehabilitation in patients with acquired and congenital neurological deficits, emphasizing understanding of the neural basis and neurophysiology as well as integrated systems and multidisciplinary management of this patient base to future optometrists.
