Twyla Evano is a board-certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy through the
American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She is a member of the Academy of Neurologic
Physical Therapy. Twyla specializes in neuro rehabilitation of individuals with neurologic
diagnoses, including Parkinson’s disease, spinal injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, vestibular
disorders, and post-concussion syndrome.
Twyla has a passion for teaching and promoting evidence-based practice to clinicians and
physical therapy students. She is a graduate of the residency program for neurologic physical
therapy at Casa Colina Hospital. Twyla is now an adjunct instructor of clinical physical therapy
at the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy. Twyla is also a lecturer and lab
instructor for neuro courses at Western University and Azusa Pacific University. Twyla
promotes the power of exercise for individuals with Parkinson’s disease through community
lectures and community-based exercise groups.
