This workshop is dedicated to promoting the role of group intervention in outpatient behavioral health presented by experienced subject matter expert occupational therapists. This energetic and interactive workshop includes a review of behavioral health diagnosis, medications, evaluation, documentation and hands-on group activities from the presenters’ arsenal that allow individuals the opportunity to role play as both facilitator and group participant. Each workshop participant will leave with experience and resources for successful behavioral health group facilitation!
Upon completion, participant will be able to plan and facilitate an evidence-based behavioral health group session.
Upon completion, participant will be able to demonstrate competency in completing evidence-based behavioral health group outlines.
Upon completion, participant will be able to demonstrate competency in behavioral health group documentation and billing practices.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe rehabilitation frames of reference for establishing evidence-based behavioral health groups.
Upon completion, participant will be able to reference a number of resources in order to provide evidence-based behavioral health group intervention strategies.
