Physical activity is recommended to prevent recurrent stroke. Although many physical activity and exercise-based interventions exist, few studies have investigated how stroke survivors think about physical activity. The purpose of this study was to investigate how stroke survivors conceptualize physical activity to inform development of future physical activity interventions for this population.
