Remote rehabilitation delivery has expanded considerably as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic. A tailored approached to unique populations is necessary to deliver optimal care. In this symposium, we will review the distinct needs and requirements for implementing specialized, remote neurorehabilitation care. Specifically, we will discuss the application of remote patient monitoring to the field of neurorehabilitation and present methodology, results, and patient perspectives from a remote, gait-focused neurorehabilitation clinical trial. Finally, we will review techniques for engagement, salience, and enjoyment as it pertains to remote care and optimizing outcomes.
