The process of prosthetic prescription is a vital part of the journey to independence for a person with limb loss. Accurate and timely prescription facilitates timely prosthetic fabrication and fitting and requires detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, prosthetics and rehabilitation principles of limb loss.
The goal of this symposium is share information on the decision-making principles, team approach, and process of clinical translation from formulating the script to the receipt of the prosthesis and rehabilitation for prosthetic-level independence.
