Session Abstract: The back-to-back sessions examine how historical backgrounds, contemporary discourses, cultural practices, and government strategies have shaped the Covid-19 pandemic in East, South, and Southeast Asia, as well as their social and political implications for the countries under focus. Session 1 focuses more on the socio-cultural dimensions of the pandemic, while Session 2 examines in greater depth its political dimension.
