Session Abstract: The back-to-back sessions examine how historical backgrounds, contemporary discourses, cultural practices, and government strategies have shaped the Covid 19 pandemic in East, South, and Southeast Asia, as well as the social and political implications for the countries under focus. Session 1 focuses more on the socio-cultural dimensions of the pandemic, while Session 2 examines in greater depth its political dimension.
