This session will help new and seasoned staff members organize their crash cart so it best suits the team members using the cart during an emergency. Also, the session will discuss how to keep the crash cart organized and review expiration dates of inventory (including drugs, supplies and materials of the cart). An emphasis on emergency drills and how often they should be conducted also will be discussed.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Demonstrate monitoring of all items in the crash cart to make sure they are not expired and/or enough supply is available.
Identify the medications and supplies needed in a crash cart per ACLS guidelines.
Review the importance of regular emergency drills and keeping the cart organized and up-to-date.
