Microscope Systems for ICSI

Leading platform for high-precision ICSI

The Ti2-U inverted microscope features industry-leading optics for high-resolution images, choice between cell-friendly LED and traditional halogen light source, and a robust, vibration resistant design for high-precision manipulation procedures such as ICSI and IMSI.  An integrated, intermediate magnification changer (1.5X) enables easy switching between 200X and 300X without changing objectives.  The stage can accommodate handles of various lengths on either the right or left side.  Combined with a variable inclination eyepiece tube, the Ti2 provides an ergonomic interface that minimizes stress during repeated procedures.

Recommended accessories:

  • Traditional NTX micromanipulators or new Takanome style MTK-1 micromanipulators for smooth and accurate positioning of the pipette every time.
  • New Digital Sight 1000 CMOS camera:  2.0-megapixel color camera offering full-HD images, fast live display and simple measurement, without a PC.
  • Nikon Advanced Modulation Contrast (NAMC): Compatible with plasticware, NAMC produces pseudo-relief shading effect, ideal for ICSI.
  • Spindle Observation System:  A polarized light technique for detailed observation of spindle bodies for oocyte assessment and elimination of spindle damage during sperm injection.  Easily switch between Spindle Observation mode and Emboss Contrast or NAMC.
  • CFI Plan Achromat LWD IMSI 100XC:  High-magnification, dry objective for MSOME and IMSI
  • Tokai Hit ThermoPlate options for precise stage-top heating to ensure optimal sample viability.

Compact, inverted microscope that fits easily inside laminar flow hoods

Smaller than the Ti2, the Ts2R fits easily inside clean benches and laminar flow hoods.  The Ts2R features a cell-friendly LED light source for diascopic illumination.  The Ts2R-FL, fluorescent model, offers up to four fluorescent channels.  The Ts2R and Ts2R-FL can be configured for a variety of observation methods including NAMC, Emboss Contrast, and spindle observation.

Recommended accessories:

  • Emboss Contrast:  This plastic-compatible technique provides pseudo-relief contrast of samples, similar to NAMC.  Emboss Contrast works with standard objectives and therefore can be easily combined with epi-fluorescence applications.
  • Spindle Observation System:  A polarized light technique for detailed observation of spindle bodies for oocyte assessment and elimination of spindle damage during sperm injection.  Easily switch between Spindle Observation mode and Emboss Contrast or NAMC.
  • TS2R-P-CHL Camera Port 50L, specifically designed for ICSI, to ensure easy access to the stage.
  • Traditional NTX micromanipulators or new Takanome style MTK-1 micromanipulators for smooth and accurate positioning of the pipette every time
  • Tokai Hit ThermoPlate options for precise stage-top heating to ensure optimal sample viability.
