Preparing parents for the unfiltered realities of parenthood with simple-yet-genius solutions that get the job done.

About us

Frida is more than a brand built to support parents. We get parents. We know all about the often unbelievable realities of parenthood, because we’ve been in the trenches. Over the last 9 years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to developing the tools (and sometimes the tips, too) that help simplify parenting - and it all started with snot. Since the launch of our cult-favorite NoseFrida, The SnotSucker, we’ve innovated and launched over 100 products that provide quick and easy solutions to age-old parenting problems. We also launched Frida Mom in 2019, with products to help women with the transition through the fourth trimester into motherhood. Today, Frida holds over a 70% share of its main category, and our products can be found in over 50+ countries and in over 40,000 stores throughout the US - in every retail channel from mass-market, grocery, chain drug, and specialty stores. For 7 years, we’ve had parents’ backs as they navigate the parts of parenthood you don’t usually see on the ’gram with honest and raw messaging to provide the answers to questions they didn’t even know they had. And, we’re just getting started.

“You can go on Instagram and learn a 10-step beauty regimen … (but) there’s just no avenue available to brands like ours who make products to help women during (conception, pregnancy and postpartum)." - Our CEO Chelsea M.R. Hirschhorn told CNN. UNTIL 👏 NOW 👏 FridaUncensored.com is our new educational platform for women, by women. And whether you are a mom, know a mom, or came from a mom, it's required reading in our book 📖 #advertising #marketing #women

Why is a lactating breast censored on social media? To say we've been battle-tested in showing the raw realities of motherhood is an understatement. We've tried every creative way in, with fleeting progress that is subsequently stifled in both traditional and social media channels. Just this month our ads have been flagged or removed for using the word “fertility” or depicting a blurred-out breast and nipple to advertise our new Hydrogel Nipple Pads. Today, we launch FridaUncensored.com, a new platform for women's health education, offering uncensored, unfiltered sexual health education and how-to instructional videos for women. As part of this content crusade, we've also partnered with the Center for Intimacy Justice to help advance legislative reform that will remove the limitations that we and other brands face when it comes to advertising and product education for women’s health. In our CEO Chelsea M.R. Hirschhorn's own words: "More than a third of women say that they feel unprepared physically for the experience that they just had when it comes to pregnancy, labor delivery, and postpartum recovery. If we can help a large majority of those women eliminate that fear and anxiety in anticipation of that experience, the platform should and could speak for itself." This is just one step in the crusade for more, better educational content for women. And until the algorithms catch up, we'll continue to advocate for women, without censoring a single word or detail. #advertising #marketing #women

Ask and you shall receive 🙌 Parents have always had a way to preserve their baby's first lock of hair and first tooth, but we realized they didn't have a way to bottle up that *real* baby smell. And a while back when we announced this upgrade for one of our flagship products, Windi the Gaspasser, they all justifiably lost their 💩 It's been in the Frida Innovation Womb since, and we couldn't be prouder to finally release it. Parents (and product geeks), meet the F.A.R.T. Jar. #productdesign #innovation #socialmedia

Parents, who's tired 🙋♀️ This past Fall, we teamed up with WHOOP to conduct a study to understand the effects of cold + flu season on parents, and what we found was... exhausting 🫠 When it comes to wake duration, we noticed that parenting a sick child is WORSE than being sick yourself 🤯 It was also shown to impact your well-being in a few other ways: ❤️ A steady increase in resting heart rate 📉 A steady decrease in heart rate variability 🥱 A decrease in overall sleep consistency If you're feeling tired just reading this, we've got three ways to minimize the effects - without actually getting more sleep (because... kids). Check 'em out below ⬇️ #workingparents #parents #kids #wellness

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas… Except for these hot tips from our CEO Chelsea M.R. Hirschhorn. She spoke on a panel at Shoptalk last week and spilled the tea on how we’ve built Frida into the trusted parenting brand it is today, 10 years after launching the OG NoseFrida… 1️⃣ “At Frida, trust is really equal parts credibility, authenticity, and a little bit of vulnerability. Which may sound weird, because on its face, maybe a brand isn’t supposed to be vulnerable or demonstrate any weakness. But it’s just an indication of our commitment to risk taking and our comfort with a lack of certainty.” 2️⃣ “The credibility aspect for us is: Do your products do what you say they’re gonna do […] We have a lot of conviction in the science and efficacy of our products and we’re comfortable introducing entirely new concepts to parents. When we do that, and when we win, it really enforces a deeper connection with the consumer in a very meaningful way.” 3️⃣ “Authenticity plays a big role. And for us, we accomplish that through content creation. Really raw, really realistic portrayals of the experience. Not in an attempt to instill fear, but in an attempt to introduce honesty and candor to the conversation.” Soooo, let us know–which conference or trade show should we hit up next? #corporateleadership #brandbuilding #marketing #retail
