The Whole Health model redesign of health care is an integrative model and the future for the VA and for other healthcare systems. The model emphasizes personalized integrative care where the Veteran is placed at the center utilizing multidisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate patient-driven care focusing on personal goals. The Whole Health model incorporates a three-pronged approach to expand Veteran self-empowerment, self-healing, and self-care. Whole Health Clinical Care uses a Complementary Integrative Health paradigm for providing care.
