Dr. Larson is a clinical neuropsychologist at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital where he directs the Psychology Department and the Brain Injury Program. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Fuller School of Psychology in Pasadena, California. He trained at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center and at Northwestern University. A licensed psychologist, he is board-certified in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He practiced as a neuropsychologist for over 20 years at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago before accepting a leadership position at Marianjoy in 2016. As a principal investigator funded by the National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research and the National Institutes of Health, he led research programs focusing on assessment and treatment of cognitive impairment due to brain injury. He is committed to mentoring future psychologists, which has included development and direction of hospital-based clinical training programs and formal instruction of graduate students at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
