Dawn Wittig worked in the geriatric, developmentally disabled, and dementia field providing hands-on cares for the past 22 years in skilled facilities, in-home setting, and hospice center. She graduated from Chamberlain University with a Bachelor’s in Nursing degree and is currently in a Nurse Practitioner program at Walden University.
Dawn has been a geriatric advocate the past 22 years, has initiated, and continues to work with many programs in her area to serve seniors. Started the first Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in her county 15 years ago, established the Alzheimer’s Association Family Caregiver Conference serving 350 family caregivers in her area for the past 10 years, and works with the local Aging and Disability Resource Center to serve our geriatric community. She has been a member of the Sheboygan County Dementia Care Network for the past 15 years, educating the community on how to better serve our seniors.
Started Tender Hearts Senior Care in February 2005, an in-home care agency providing in-home cares for seniors and the developmentally disabled. Managing all day to day operations, training staff, and providing all required hands-on nursing cares. Tender Hearts Senior Care partnered with VibeTech to offer new and innovating ways to our clients and staff, and serving on their Fall Prevention Advisory Committee, to assist with therapies, to enhance their quality of life.
