Director, Complex Concussion Clinic and SHARE Military Initiative
Russell Gore is a neurologist and biomedical engineer specialized in brain injury with specific interest in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of mild traumatic brain injury in veteran and athlete populations. He is the founding Director of the Complex Concussion Clinic and Medical Director for the SHARE Military Initiative at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University. Russell serves as a sports neurologist and concussion consultant for professional, collegiate, and high school athletic programs. After completing his biomedical engineering studies at Vanderbilt University and his medical degree at Emory University, Russell served as a flight surgeon in the US Air Force. Currently Russell is part of an interdisciplinary research team funded by the Department of Defense and the National Football League leveraging technology to diagnose, quantify, and rehabilitate neurologic dysfunction after brain injury in sports and military settings.
