Associate Dean and Professor
Leslie Taylor, PT, PhD, MS is a professor of physical therapy and serves as the associate dean for the College of Health Professions at Mercer University. Dr. Taylor’s research, teaching, and community service converge under the umbrella of improving the quality of life of community-dwelling older adults. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on wellness and community-based programming for older adults, presents her research regularly at national conferences, and has received over one million dollars of funding from local, state, and national agencies to support these research endeavors. Dr. Taylor is licensed to practice physical therapy in Georgia. She has practiced in a variety of settings, including acute care, inpatient rehab, home health, outpatient orthopedics, and as the owner of a private practice that focused on outpatient and home-based care of individuals with chronic health problems, particularly those with rheumatic diseases.
