Intel will walk through case studies of recent projects that take advantage of the unique aspects of Intel^R Optane^TM Memory in the scientific simulation and visualization domain. This will include an overview of the capabilities of the hardware platform itself and explain the modes that it can currently be accessed within the Linux operating environment. Next, there will be an illustration of a number of new and upcoming features within the OpenFOAM and ParaView HPC capable platforms that were developed to take advantage of this new layer of memory with accompanying evolutionary and practical results.
