The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC), based at UC San Diego, a top research university, provides resources and expertise in high-performance computing and data-driven applications for science and society. SDSC supports hundreds of multidisciplinary programs spanning a wide variety of domains: bioinformatics, astrophysics, the earth sciences, compliant health IT services, and more. Following an extended run of its National Science Foundation-funded Comet supercomputer, SDSC was awarded another NSF grant to deploy Expanse in late 2020.
