JAIST was founded in October 1990 as the first independent national graduate school to carry out graduate education based on research at the highest level in advanced science and technology. JAIST aims at establishing an ideal model of graduate education for Japan. JAIST is an international university, where more than half the students and about a quarter of the faculties come from abroad. JAIST is a leading institute in HPC research possessing three types of HPC facilities, Cray XC40 (19728-core/68.5TiB/756TFLOPS), HPE Superdome & Proliant (2136-core/63.0TiB/TFLOPS), and Fujitsu CX2560 (CPU: 1536-core/3.0TiB/93TFLOPS; GPU: 16GPU/1.5TiB/92TFLOPS). We accept overseas students for their Mater's and Doctoral programs as well as internship program supervised by our faculties and welcome the proposal for collaborative researches from academic and industrial communities.
