Boston University is a private research institution leading the way in world-class education and innovative research. BU's vibrant research computing community emerges from its 35,000 students from 130 countries, 10,000 faculty and staff, 17 schools and colleges, and 300 programs of study on three campuses. The Research Computing Services group provides consulting and training for the 2,800 researchers working on over 800 research projects from 75 departments and centers. RCS also manages the Shared Computing Cluster (19,000 CPU cores) and the highly successful Buy-in program. BU is a founding member of the MGHPCC (located in Holyoke, MA) which houses the SCC and facilities for multi-institutional collaboration.
