The HPE Cray EX supercomputer is a liquid cooled, blade-based, high-density clustered computer system designed from the ground up, as its HPE Slingshot interconnect and its Cray ClusterStor E1000 storage, to deliver the utmost in performance, scale, and density. This architecture was selected by all exascale leadership sites of the U.S. Department of Energy – Argonne National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory – for their first exascale systems.
