Joe DiFranco is a Director with Bruno Associates, Inc. Joe utilizes an effective set of research, writing, and analytical skills which allowed him to acquire more than $8.5 million in funding for his clients. He has proven himself as a trusted adviser, with an innate ability to simplify the complex grant management process, allowing clients to simply integrate it into the many other responsibilities that go into running a local municipality. His problem-solving skills and effective communication style are considerable assets to each of the clients he works for. Highlights from his time with BAI include securing: $1,000,000 in Green Acres funding for the Town of West New York’s Miller Stadium Project, $900,000 in Open Space funding for Weehawken’s Recreation Pier along the Hudson River, $40,000 in Passaic County funding which enabled Clifton to hire a Case Manager to assist their homeless population, $61,800 in state funding to help Rutherford restore its WWI Monument, $36,880 in FEMA (SAFER) funding for the Wallington Fire Department for volunteer recruitment and retention as well as physicals and gear, and $618,000 in NJDOT funding for West New York’s roadways. Joe specializes in grant management services at the County, State and Federal levels and has extensive knowledge in the fields of transportation infrastructure, public safety/emergency management, community development, environmental protection, shoreline resilience and recreation. Above all else, Joe believes his ultimate mission is to make his clients’ job easier and help them mobilize the funding needed for positive change. Joe graduated Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Leadership Development through Civic Engagement. He is also certified in Grant Writing from the State University of New York.
