Maintaining passion through adversity during the tenure of a fire service career is a challenge most of us face on our journey. Over the last two decades, the fire service has experienced 9/11, significant natural disasters, economic downturns, mass shootings, reduction in fires, and increased calls for service. Adding a pandemic and drastic reductions in operating budgets continue to test the resolve of our profession. During this workshop, we will dive deep into passion and adversity. Through stories, science, and a little humor, participants will leave the session with actionable takeaways to reignite the passion for our incredible profession.
