The Biodex Gait Trainer 3 combines audio cueing, visual biofeedback and music integration to help promote neuroplasticity in patients with Parkinson’s and other neurologic disorders. The Gait Trainer integrates rhythmic auditory cueing (RAC) and a library of neurologic music compositions to help correct lost movement.
The Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS) is a software-based therapy platform that uses an interactive touchscreen display to challenge, assess and track, vision, cognitive, motor and balance deficiencies. BITS was developed with feedback from therapists and features over 60 programs that can be customized for patients at all mobility levels across the continuum of care. BITS is all-in-one system to improve Clinical Utility, Patient Engagement and Clinician Efficiency.
The H200 Wireless Hand Rehabilitation System uses functional electrical stimulation (FES) to activate the nerves that control the muscles in the hand and forearm to help restore upper extremity function and allow patients to get back to their daily activities.
L300 Go a functional electrical stimulation (FES) system that promotes recovery by activating the neuromuscular pathways required for gait to help improve mobility & regain function.
The Vector Gait and Safety System is a ceiling-mounted robotic system designed to accelerate the physical rehabilitation of patients with severe gait or balance impairment. The system provides dynamic body weight support and trolley tracking, enabling the patient to practice gait and balance training by offloading a portion of their body weight. Vector also detects and prevents falls before they happen to keep patients safe and instill confidence.

NCAN is one of 29 NIBIB/NIH Biomedical Technology Resource Centers in the United States. It is the only one that emphasizes neurotechnology, and the only one that goes from basic science to clinical studies. Our mission is to: create neurotechnologies that guide nervous system plasticity to answer basic scientific questions and create new rehabilitation therapies; define the mechanisms of this plasticity and translate this knowledge to clinical use; and provide training and dissemination to enable other scientists, engineers, and clinicians to develop and use neurotechnologies scientifically and clinically.
C-STAR and the Restore Center are two of six centers comprising the Medical Rehabilitation Research Resource (MR3) Network.
LeaRRn and C-PROGRESS are two of six resource centers that comprise the Medical Rehabilitation Research Resource (MR3) Network.
NC NM4R and AR3T are two centers of six that comprise the Medical Rehabilitation Research Resource (MR3) Network.
RT300 is the Restorative Therapies flagship product line that includes different versions depending on your needs: Leg | Arm | Core Leg | Core Pediatric Leg | Core It combines therapeutic modalities to create complex integrated functional electrical stimulation (iFES). iFES incorporates functional electrical stimulation (FES) integrated with task specific or motor assistance/resistance activities to optimize therapeutic goals. Our proprietary software provides real-time biofeedback, data tracking and sophisticated control algorithms that are designed for a wide range of neurological impairments. All RT300 devices are physician-prescribed, FDA Class II medical devices.
EsoGLOVE is a soft robotic hand rehabilitation system for patients with neurological disorders and injuries. The soft actuators embedded in the glove are flexible and compliant in nature, which do not restrict the finger joint movements for increased comfort during use. The patient’s arm is not restricted; therefore, it can be freely moved in space during therapy. EsoGLOVE™ allows passive mobilization and active-assisted exercises, accompanied by real time 3D representation on screen and functional tasks training with real objects. The simultaneous visual effects and proprioceptive feedback (feeling and seeing hand and arm movements) are associated to stimulate the patient’s neuroplasticity.
Shepherd Center, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is a private, not-for-profit hospital specializing in medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spine and chronic pain, and other neuromuscular conditions. The VibeSit™PRO uses Smart Dosing™ therapeutic vibration to reduce falls in individuals suffering from dysmobility syndrome, removing the barriers to physical activity for those at the greatest risk of falling. The device delivers patient-specific therapeutic vibration through a portable leg press that a wheelchair user or other user can roll up to for an engaging experience that leaves the them stronger and uplifted with less pain. Results presented at ACRM2019 demonstrated 45% fewer falls in memory care residents, a 3X strength gain from 12 treatments, and a 20% immediate increase in strength and 66% less pain after each treatment.
