Chris Cherian, MD, is currently a fellow in Primary Care Sports Medicine in the Department of Orthopedics at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to fellowship, he completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation/Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He also served as a Chief Resident during his final year in residency. He was raised in Houston, Texas and received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and minor in general business administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his Medicine Internship at the Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois before moving to the garden state for his PM&R residency. He is particularly passionate about academic sports medicine, orthobiologic research, and medical education. He has published multiple journal articles and has given several podium and poster presentations at the national and regional levels regarding orthobiologics and musculoskeletal medicine.
