Dr. Emily McKinley is a Researcher V in the UAB School of Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology. She has an extensive background working with neurological studies including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, and others. She utilizes several forms of data including paper and pencil or computerized cognitive testing, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, biospecimens, and neuroimaging (e.g. MRI and PET scans) to examine features associated with disease progression and biopsychosocial factors. Her research has been presented at local, national, and international conferences including the Alabama Academy of Science, National Conference on Undergraduate Research, and International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology.
