Dr. Margaret A. Nosek is a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine and Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Research on Women with Disabilities (CROWD). Dr. Nosek has directed numerous federally-funded studies on the health, independence, and quality of life of women with disabilities. As a person with spinal muscular atrophy, Dr. Nosek is a long-time activist in the disability rights movement. The President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities has honored her as a "Disability Patriot."
