Dr. Jang is an assistant professor in the Department of Biostatistics at Indiana University School of Medicine. His overall research interests involve the development and application of novel statistical methods to: 1) extract innovative biomarkers from both standard and complex data structures; 2) evaluate their diagnostic and prognostic utility with or without gold standard; and 3) integrate their information for more refined and accurate characterization of clinical outcomes. Dr. Jang is currently applying the new methods to quantify, interpret and predict clinical outcomes from various biomedical fields, including hematology, infectious diseases, nephrology and rehabilitation studies.
