Amanda M. Garcia, PhD

Dr. Garcia is the Site Lead and Research Psychologist at the James A. Haley VA Hospital Site for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center. Dr. Garcia’s clinical and research activities are centered on the understanding of outcomes of mild traumatic brain injury (TBI), with an emphasis on modifiable risk factors. Her work has been honored by the Military Health System Research Symposium and the International Brain Injury Association.

Regarding clinical activities, Dr. Garcia conducts outpatient assessment of mild TBI at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. She also serves as an inpatient neuropsychologist with the Post-deployment Rehabilitation and Evaluation Program (PREP).
