Dr. Knox's research interests focus on health services research for older adults diagnosed with dementia and stems from her experience as a clinician, researcher, and academician. Dr. Knox is a Board Certified Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy with specific clinical expertise and training in treating older adults diagnosed with dementia. She has over 15 years of experience as a home health clinician working with individuals in their homes, in memory care units, and in assisted living facilities. Dr. Knox completed her PhD in Health Sciences at Nova Southeastern University (2017) with an emphasis on health services research and large datasets. She has been awarded three visiting scholar positions at the Center for Large Data Research & Data Sharing in Rehabilitation (2017, 2018, 2019). Her work has been well received and presented at national and international conferences, and published in notable journals.
