Megan Danzl is Assistant Chair and Associate Professor of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned a doctorate in physical therapy from Bellarmine University and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Kentucky. She is board certified in neurologic physical therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Clinically, she has practiced for 14 years in a variety of settings including stroke-accredited acute care, an inpatient rehabilitation specialized stroke unit, and outpatient neurologic settings. Entry-level teaching responsibilities include Neurology and Adult Neurorehabilitation. She serves as the Education and Research Coordinator for the Bellarmine University and Norton Healthcare Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency. Specific to stroke-related scholarship, she has co-authored 5 peer-reviewed publications, 2 book chapters, and 21 peer-reviewed presentations including both quantitative and qualitative research and topics such as outcome measures in stroke, the experience of stroke for patients and caregivers, patient and caregiver stroke education, and interventions to improve mobility post-stroke.
