A.M. Barrett, MD, FAAN, FANA, FASNR is the Executive Director of the Center for Visual and Neurocognitive Rehabilitation, and the Neurorehabilitation Program Director, Emory Brain Health Center. She is a cognitive neurologist, neurorehabilitationist, and scientist, studying brain-behavior relationships as they influence rehabilitation treatment decisionmaking. She and her colleagues put forward the discovery that spatial neglect is linked with major deficits affecting motor as well as cognitive recovery, that motor Aiming bias in spatial neglect can be specifically dissociated, measured, validated and remediated with prism adaptation training, as can spatial neglect with frontal cortical injury.
