Kathleen Lyons, ScD, OTR/L is a Senior Scientist at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. She is an investigator member of the Cancer Control Program of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Lyons became an occupational therapist in 1993 and received her Doctor of Science degree in Therapeutic Studies from Boston University in 2003. Dr. Lyons uses both qualitative and quantitative methodology to explore and improve the functional recovery and quality of life of adult cancer survivors. Her research has been funded by the American Cancer Society, National Cancer Institute, and the American Occupational Therapy Foundation. Her primary area of interest is in developing and testing participant-directed cancer rehabilitation interventions that are tailored to address individual priorities and needs.
