Christopher Bettwy is a Physical Therapist III at the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury (ICSCI) at Kennedy Krieger Institute. Christopher Bettwy received his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama in 2009 and his Physical Therapy Doctorate from Slippery Rocky University in 2012.
Christopher Bettwy joined Kennedy Krieger in 2012 as a Physical Therapist in the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury. Since 2015, Christopher has been the exoskeleton liaison at ICSCI and is responsible for providing education to staff concerning up-to-date exoskeleton literature, and product changes and developments. He was the site coordinator for a multi-center research study comparing exoskeleton gait training with standard gait training or no gait training in community-dwelling participants with chronic incomplete spinal cord injury. Additionally, Christopher is currently assisting in the startup of an adaptive scuba diving program, along with developing a clinical protocol for the implementation of acute intermittent hypoxia for individuals with motor complete and incomplete spinal cord injuries.
