Thank you for participation in this submission. I am an Acute & Critical Care Surgeon within the Section of Acute & Critical Care Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis. I graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and subsequently entered the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals in Chicago for both my general surgical residency and surgical critical care fellowship. I have developed a professional and academic interest in wound healing for both acute wounds such as those in trauma and burns as well as chronic wounds such as those that can compromise limb integrity like diabetic foot ulcerations. In looking at improving overall healing rates we include both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation to improve recovery of ambulatory function.
