Mona Ahmad, MD is currently a PGY-3 Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation resident at University of Alabama at Birmingham. She spent her formative years in Atlanta and went on to attend Georgia Institute of Technology, earning an undergraduate degree in Biology. She went on to New York Medical College for her medical degree before matching closer to home at UAB. Mona is interested in the musculoskeletal system and pain medicine, and is hoping to integrate a deeper understanding of how cognition and pain influence each other into her future practice.
