BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF MARK KOVIC
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR & ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Mark is an occupational therapist who currently is an Associate Director at the occupational therapy doctorate program at Midwestern University. He has practiced as a clinician since 1999, has been a researcher since 2000, and an educator since 2009. He has a breadth and depth of interests ranging from robotics stroke research to transformational educational endeavors. Additionally, he has previously served with ACOTE, the occupational therapy accreditation organization. He serves as Vice-President on the Board of Directors for Therapy Missions. In the last decade, he has been involved in multiple international stewardship activities including capacity-building and addressing the needs of persons with disabilities in resource-poor countries throughout the world including Brazil and Bangladesh. He is the current ACRM Stroke ISIG Chairperson. He has also served multiple roles with CGFNS through which he has contributed to addressing global healthcare needs at the community-based level. He recently became a member of the Fulbright Specialist Roster.
