Dr. Babyar is also Research Associate at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, White Plains, New York where she and her colleague, Michael Reding, MD, have been studying lateropulsion after stroke. They have also examined non-invasive, transcranial direct current stimulation as a potential intervention for lateropulsion. Their most recent work, in collaboration with researchers at the University of Iowa, demonstrated that inferior parietal lobe lesions occur in some patients with lateropulsion.
