Dr. Susan Duff is an Associate Professor in the Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Chapman University, Irvine, California. Dr. Duff is an Occupational and Physical Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. She completed a research doctorate in Movement Science at Columbia University and post-doctoral training at Penn State University in Motor Control and the University of Southern California in Clinical Trials. Her expertise is in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation and motor learning with experience across the lifespan. Her research focuses on the assessment, acquisition, and recovery of prehension. Most recently, she has been collaborating with others on methods to assess interlimb coordination and test intervention strategies designed to augment muscle activation and prehension in persons with peripheral nerve injuries and central neurological disorders.
