Nathan Hogaboom, PhD, is a Research Scientist at Kessler Foundation and Research Assistant Professor in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Hogaboom received his PhD in Rehabilitation Science and Technology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. His doctoral research focused on quantifying ultrasound and biochemical markers to better understand the disease process of rotator cuff tendinopathy and shoulder pain in wheelchair users with spinal cord injury. He is currently a member of the Regenerative Rehabilitation Laboratory, housed within the Center for Spinal Cord Injury at Kessler. In this position, he is working with a team to evaluate regenerative treatments for various musculoskeletal diseases and develop additional techniques to measure changes in disease states after treatment, such as quantitative MRI and shear wave elastography.
