Ekaterina Dobryakova is a Research Scientist in the Center for TBI Research at Kessler Foundation and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. In her research, Dr. Dobryakova utilizes functional magnetic resonance imaging to study the functioning of the striatum in individuals with TBI and multiple sclerosis (MS) and the processes the striatum is involved in such as learning, depression, and fatigue. Dr. Dobryakova is trained as a cognitive neuroscientist and has a track record of funding from federal, state, and private agencies (e.g. NIDILRR, New Jersey Health Foundation, New Jersey Commission on Brain Injury Research (NJCBIR), and National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS)). She has also been recognized by the International Neuropsychological Society for early independent research contribution and scientific achievements in research in the field of neuropsychology. She received the Early Career Award from INS in 2019. Dr. Dobryakova is the Chair of the Multiple Sclerosis Task Force of the Neurodegenerative Diseases Network Group and the Communication Task Force of the Early Career Networking Group.
