Jessica Brown, PhD, CCC-SLP is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences at the University of Arizona where she runs the Cognitive Communication Brain Lab. The mission of her research, clinical work, and teaching is to develop and evaluate functional assessment and treatment of cognitive-communication deficits for adolescents and adults with acquired neurological disorders. She also researchers design of augmentative and alternative communication supports for adults with acquired brain injuries. Dr. Brown teaches graduate level courses in traumatic brain injury, right hemisphere disorder, dementia, and augmentative and alternative communication. She serve in leadership positions for a variety of national and local professional organizations.
