In this oral presentation, we will describe key findings of a mixed-methods needs assessment that explored and characterized the lifestyle modification needs of cancer survivors in active treatment and their caregivers to inform the development of future intervention programs. We will highlight key findings related to the dietary intake, food beliefs and behaviors, and nutrition-related skills of cancer survivors and their caregivers. We will also describe survivor and caregiver physical activity behaviors and beliefs and factors that influence physical activity intention. Finally, we will discuss preferences, barriers, and facilitators of engagement in lifestyle modification strategies, including the acceptability of technology-based intervention strategies.
