People with intellectual disability (ID) are significantly underemployed. Given the added functional challenges of people with ID, who also have mental health conditions (IDMH), it is expected that this population experiences even greater employment disparities. Yet, little is known about patterns and predictors of employment for young adults with IDMH. We conducted secondary analysis of the National Core Indicators survey to identify predictors of community-based employment for young adults with IDMH. This presentation will describe results and implications for policy and practice.
